Fun day

On Wednesday in week 7 Hillary team had our fun day. Hillary team walked or ran to Orakei Domain and did challenges on the way. When we were at the Orakei Domain there were zorb balls,and inflatable obstacle course,capture the flag with water guns,catch with the water balloons and lawn games. When we finished at the Domain we walked to Parnell pools were we swam and the we took a bus back to school.

Harry potter and the philosopher's stone tasks

Over the last few weeks we have been doing Harry potter and the philosopher's stone tasks. We need to read the book chapter by chapter. We have a slide of compulsory tasks and a slide of optional tasks that we need to complete, we also get a new slide of things every week.

zines

For the last few weeks we have been doing zines. Zines are pretty much a tiny magazine that can unfold or you can turn the pages. We got to choose our topic and for each page you had to write a poem,a bullet point list,a play,jokes or a persuasive story.I did mine about Halloween and I did a bullet point list a poem and jokes.

bike safety

This week we have been doing bike safety with Constable Gordon. We all had to bring our bikes and a helmet. Some people didn't have them so they helped with the course. We did races and a obstacle course that your feet  weren't allowed to touch the ground. In the obstacle course we had to go through a garage, a roundabout and lots of other things.

cricket

In the weekends I played my hard ball cricket game. we were batting first I hit 2 4s and I got 18 runs overall. Finally I got to bowl and I got 4 wicket for 3 overs and got a hatchrich with all the balls being bowled. we lost our game by 5 runs but they were a really hard team.The player of the day went to me.

swimming

For the last 2 weeks we have been doing swimming at swimtastic and i really enjoyed it because we learned a lot the years that we did it with was year 4 and 5 but we did it in different classes on  the last day we did  dominoes and that is really fun we also did relays for the dominoes we all line up on the edge and link arms then the first person falls then everyone falls with the relays you just do relays but in the water 

treehouse

These past weeks we have been making tree houses. We had to use perimeter and area to make the 3D shapes and we had templates to make our designs in. We could work in buddies or by our self I was in a group with Georgia. Our tree house has 4 rooms and a pool and tyre swing. All of the rooms are different styles. The rooms we have are called : pet room,dinner room,pool,main room and the adventure room. Something that we like is that we finished on time and we collaborated well.
